For over 25 years, Petro-Canada lubricants has researched, developed and produced more than 350 world-class advanced lubricants, specialty fluids and greases. Throughout our history, we have maintained a steadfast commitment to quality excellence in our processes, products and people. Today, Petro-Canada is a Suncor Energy business.

Key milestones in Petro-Canada lubricants’ history:

• 1943 — The lubricants facility in Mississauga was established under British American
• 1968 — The business was purchased by Gulf Canada
• 1985 — Petro-Canada acquired the business
• 1993 — The facility was converted from a full petroleum refinery into a lubricants plant
• 1996 — Expansion of the lubricants plant doubled its capacity
• 2006 — Capacity was increased a further 25% at the Mississauga lubricants plant
• 2009 — Suncor Energy and Petro-Canada merged to become the premier Canadian Energy company, Suncor Energy Inc.
